Good intentions

Well, I started with good intentions. But the next day was a birthday and the day after I forgot. So here we are on day four, and I remembered. I'm trying to decide whether comments I post on here should identify individuals or not. Should I refer to my sons as 'Boy 1', 'Boy 2', etc, or should I refer to them by name. And ex-wives and ex-partners? Given that I'm very likely to want to post critical comments about them, perhaps everything should be sanitised. Perhaps I should start a blog with a false name and then feel absolutely free to say what I like. I don't know. But it's approaching bed time for Boy 4, so I'm going.

Exams over for the summer

This blog has had one entry for far too long. I have just been challenged by my oldest son to write something every day and I'm considering rising to that challenge. I'm very good at forgetting the good things that happen and remembering the bad, which isn't a good strategy for a contented life. So, here goes. I have no idea whether I'll actually keep this up or even whether I'll remember the good things for long enough to write about them here.

This summer starts today, because all the boys' exams are now over. 27 June to 5 September! Better do some planning.

Enough for now. Wouldn't want to raise the bar too high on the first day.
